NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Hulmeville Borough Hall Renovations – Phase III

321 Main Street

Hulmeville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania

 

Sealed proposals will be received by Hulmeville Borough, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, care of Matthew V. Piotrowski, Architect, 330 Evergreen Avenue, Warminster, PA 18974 until 1 PM on July 1, 2010 for the furnishing of all materials and labor necessary for the final phase of renovations of the original schoolhouse in Hulmeville, Pennsylvania in anticipation of its use as the Hulmeville Borough Hall.  

 

This Notice is for Phase III of the renovations which includes extensive work on the 2nd floor, portions of First Floor and Basement as well as some exterior work. The specifics of the project scope and phasing are included in the Bid Documents (Construction Drawings and Specifications) that may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of  $50.00 (cash or check) from Matthew V. Piotrowski, Architect, 330 Evergreen Avenue, Warminster, PA between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Thursday through Wednesday, June 17th-23rd, 2010.

 

There will be a MANDATORY WALK THROUGH for all bidders on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the project site (321 Main Street, Hulmeville, PA 19047). All bidders are required to attend and all subcontractors are encouraged to attend.

 

            Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the office of Matthew V. Piotrowski Architect at 330 Evergreen Avenue, Warminster, PA 18974 on July 1, 2010 at 1 P.M. The award of the bid, if awarded, will be made by the Hulmeville Borough Council at their meeting on July 12, 2010, or at a subsequent meeting.

 

            Proposals must be on the forms furnished as part of this Bid Package. This proposal is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

 

            The project is funded (in Part) by Pennsylvania Gaming Revenues by the CountyRedevelopment Authority’s Municipal Grant Program for the BucksCounty Commissioners.

 

            All bidders, including subcontractors, shall have minimum five (5) years documented experience in this type of project and corresponding work. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the Borough. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with the Hulmeville Borough Contractual Liability Provisions and with the provisions of the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority’s Municipal Grant Program as contained within the contract bid documents.

 

      Proposals will not be accepted from bidders, including subcontractors, who have defaulted on a public or private contract within the past five (5) years. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or informalities in the bids, and to accept any bid they should deem to be in the best interest of the Borough.
